It occurred to me how strange certain computer geek terms must sound to outsiders.
"Gooey" programming? You mounted a hard drive? You used "eunuchs" for your project!?
I'm sure I'll think of a lot more.

I was at a team meeting one time, and before it started, we were all sitting around shooting the breeze, talking about such day to day topics as how the testing team has to periodically wipe everything and start over from scratch....
Strangely enough, just about everyone kept a completely straight face when the lead tester matter-of-factly stated that she hadn't "wiped her box in weeks", and was way overdue.
